01

Read the purpose of a form

Ask why each field is required and who receives the submission. An information page should not need account credentials simply to show an article. When a request appears excessive or unexplained, pause and verify the process independently instead of filling every available box by habit.

02

Inspect screenshots beyond the main problem

A screenshot may reveal account names, browser tabs, notification previews, document titles or a full address containing private parameters. Crop or obscure unrelated details before sharing, then review the finished image. Removing one visible name does not necessarily remove the other information surrounding it.

03

Describe symptoms without secrets

An error code, the action attempted and a general description of the device can often communicate a problem without passwords or identification documents. Do not include one-time codes, recovery information or another person’s details. This publication does not provide account verification or ask readers to submit those materials.
